This week I will be talking about pretty much nothing. I haven't gotten the chance to think or do much game designing, mostly job hunting. Oh, and I made a dedicated page for MotoGP. So if you guys want, you can check that out on my "Projects" page.
This week, I decided I'm actually fed up with my current job situation, so I'm back on the job hunt. This time, for both a real job, an something to hold me over. After a couple of crazy nights at work, I decided I need something that at least has higher pay. Especially after last night when someone...uh...voided themselves in front of me. It's safe to say that I'm very done now. At this point I'll try and search around and see what I can find.
In other, better news, the Doom beta was fun. Yeah, I can't wait for it to come out so I can play it on PC, and build some levels for it. If I could describe it, it feels a lot like Unreal Tournament. If you have played UT, you wouldn't be missing too much with Doom Multiplayer, except that there are a few cool bits to it. To throw their own spin on it, they've added customization, custom loadouts, current FPS standards, and you can turn into a demon. So, it's a typical fast-paced arena shooter, but it's fun. Of course there are some things to work on like melee detection, or some of the damage values on some of the guns. Now that I think about it, Spring is bringing through some great games. I'm definitely looking forward to Uncharted 4, and Dark Souls 3 came out last week. I'm not a fan of Dark Souls, but I respect it as a good game franchise that respects it's fans.
I figured that I would have more to talk about this week, but I guess not. Maybe next week I can figure out what I'm doing, maybe I'll catch a lead on something. See you guys soon! Until then, check out this postmortem on Doom I found.
